The Service-Learning Ambassador Programme

 

Each Semester, the Service-Learning Section of the Centre of Teaching and Learning would recruit student teaching assistants to join teachers in carrying out service-learning projects in that semester. Students can gain work experience while helping out in meaningful service activities. The recruitment of SLAs usually starts at the beginning of each semester through e-campus connect announcements.  

Service-Learning modules refers to modules with in-class assignment/project that involves a collaboration service for a charity organization or social enterprise. 
 
Recruitment Details: 
Programme Period: A few weeks within the semester class period
$65/hour, 4-6 hours per week, flexible hours with no clash with the students’ timetable
 
Duties: 
Video shooting in off-campus activities
Planning and interview student and teachers on project participation
Assist in Service-Learning projects’ logistics
Data editing, and other project-related duties
 
Job location: Work at home, on campus or participate in off-campus social service activities according to events to be carried out in the semester

– Your past experience in doing volunteer work 
– Your experience in doing service-learning (if any)
