Community partner: Japanese Sake Culture Promotion Association

Project: ASI4008 immerses students in Japanese ancient literature and the cultural significance of sake. Through academic study and community outreach, they create a mini-exhibit that highlights these traditions. This hands-on experience fosters cultural exchange and equips students with skills in community engagement and real-world application of their knowledge.

Community partner: “Hi! Strangers” Social Innovation Project

Project: This module offers students hands-on experience in web development, centered on social enterprise start-ups. Students engaged in a human library session with Mr Corn Sim, founder of the “Hi! Strangers” project, to explore real-world challenges. They then applied their skills to support a local social enterprise, gaining valuable insights along the way.

Community partners: CFSC Shun On District Elderly Community Centre / CFSC True Light Villa District Elderly Community Centre

Project: FIN1001 aimed to provide students with an understanding of personal finance concepts. Through organising games and booth, the students introduced the basics knowledge of personal finance and investment tools to the retirees, aiming to educate the retirees the importance of managing personal finance, building up a correct personal financial philosophy and habit, and recognising some common scams on elderly and ways to avoid falling into fraud.

Community partner: Triathlon Association of Hong Kong China

Project: This module offers a comprehensive understanding of managing sports events of various sizes and types. This year, students supported the World Triathlon Cup in Hong Kong, engaging directly with the sports community. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply classroom knowledge in event logistics and enhance their practical skills outside the classroom.
