“Cross-Border Social Entrepreneurship Partnership Recognised under The Power of Partnerships Category”
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK)’s project “Cross-Border Social Entrepreneurship Partnership Through Student Consulting Teams” has been shortlisted for the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2026 under The Power of Partnerships category.
The project is led by Dr Jessie Cheung, Assistant Professor of the Department of Management, co-led by Ms Waii Yip, Executive Officer, Service Learning Section of the CTL, the National University of Management (NUM), Cambodia, and entrepreneurship ecosystem partners, social ventures, and students through a distinctive cross-border partnership model. The initiative enables students to work as consulting teams supporting mission-driven ventures in addressing authentic social and environmental challenges.
The project’s innovation lies in its four-layer partnership architecture, which combines international learning, ecosystem intermediation, social entrepreneurship, and student consulting within a single repeatable framework. Through the model, students gain authentic consulting experience and intercultural competence, while social ventures receive research support, fresh perspectives, and practical recommendations.
The QS Reimagine Education Awards, organised by global higher education analytics specialist Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), recognise innovative approaches to teaching, learning, employability, and partnership building. This year, the awards received more than 2,200 submissions across 15 categories. Following evaluation by over 1,000 international judges.
