Service-Learning Awards Ceremony

The Service-Learning Awards Ceremony on 21st May, 2021 brings the 20/21 service-learning projects to a celebratory close, commemorating the fruits of the year’s diversified projects of HSUHK students and teachers collaborating with community partners.

The event gathered a total of 30 students and teachers who had actively participated in credit-bearing service-learning projects in the past academic year. Award certificates were presented to Service-Learning module instructors by Prof. YV Hui, our University’s Vice President (Academic and Research), in appreciation of their self-sacrificing effort in the projects. Seven student groups with outstanding project performance were nominated and selected to receive the ‘Service-Learning Excellence Award” at this event, with certificates and prizes presented by Dr. Ben Cheng, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Victor Chan, instructor of the service-learning module GEN2031 Leadership and Innovation in Community Service shared his teaching experience in service-learning. 

  Students and teachers received certificates of excellence for their project performance.

Students Vincent and Christy from the module MGT3025 Advanced Leadership also shared their project experience in collaborating with the ICAC. They also thanked their teacher, Dr Susanna Chui for her guidance in the project.

Dr. Ben Cheng gave an encouraging ending remarks for the ceremony.
