Recruiting Students – Service-Learning Ambassador Programme 24/25

Would you like to gain work experience while helping out in meaningful social service projects?  We are currently recruiting students to participate in our “Service-Learning Ambassador Programme“. The programme is hosted by the Service-Learning Section of the Centre for Teaching and Learning. 

It is a paid internship-mode job opportunity with flexible working hours, on-campus or off-campus participation in service-learning events. Students will be assisting in the organization and activity/event processes of service-learning modules in 2024/25, and also video-recording of events.  

Service-Learning modules refers to modules with in-class assignment/project that involves a collaboration service for a charity organisation or social enterprise. 

Recruitment Details: 

Programme Period: 
A few weeks within Sep to Nov 2024 (tentative) 
A few weeks within Feb to Apr 2025 (tentative) 

$65/hour, 4-6 hours per week, flexible hours with no clash with your timetable

 

Duties: 

Video shooting in off-campus activities

Planning and interview students and teachers on project participation

Assist in Service-Learning projects’ logistics

Data editing, and other project-related duties

 

 

Job location: Work at home, on campus or participate in off-campus social service activities according to events to be carried out in the semester

– Tells us your passion in serving the community and concern for the underprivileged and social problems in HK 

– Your past experience in doing volunteer work 

– Your experience in doing service-learning (if any) 

 

Eligibility: Students should preferably be undergraduate Year 2 – 4; or Year 4 (for 3rd-year-entry students). It is preferred that the student has completed credit-bearing service-learning modules before.  However, other students who can express strong passion and capability in service will also be considered. Video recording experience and interest is highly preferred. Students may be required to take photos and videos with their phone during project activities. Video editing skills are a plus but not necessary.
