Talk by Dr Victor Chan: Service-Learning Component Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL)

To learn the service-learning pedagogy that have been used for decades by some of the most innovative teachers and educators, we were honoured to have invited Dr. Victor Chan, Associate Director (Service-Learning) from CTL to give the HSUHK Community a talk on the second day of the HSUHK Induction Programme 2023 (17 August 2023).

In the talk, titled “Beyond the Traditional Classroom: Exploring OBTL and Innovative Pedagogies”, Dr Chan shared with us his insights on how we could enhance the learning experience for students, for example,

• the reason why Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning is of the utmost important,
• how to incorporate service-learning pedagogy into modules to achieve learning outcomes,
• how we could seek support from Service-Learning session at CTL etc.
