HSUHK Students Excel in Sports Event Management at World Triathlon Cup

“Service-Learning Project showcases practical experience.”

Over 100 students from Service-Learning module and PE modules (“PE1001 Event Management in Sports” and “PE1008 Sports and Society in Hong Kong”) were divided into teams to participate in the World Triathlon Cup held in Hong Kong. This event was part of their service-learning, allowing them to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom by providing logistical support during the event and gaining firsthand experience in organising a large-scale sports event.

During class discussions, these Service-Learning students presented their innovative ideas to Ms Chow Chiu Nam, President of the Triathlon Association of Hong Kong China, further enhancing their understanding of event management in a practical setting.

Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience) Professor Jeanne Fu and Dr Cheung Pui-Sze, the Director of Student Affairs, were present to show their support and cheer on the students and the athletes.
